This year, Putnam County High School students experienced an exciting, behind‑the‑scenes journey into the performing arts through a partnership with the Fox Gives All‑Access Pass Program. The experience began with a visit from Carly Ann Lovell, Education Director at the Fox Theatre, who introduced students to the program’s goals, shared the theatre’s rich history, and led an engaging career exploration activity that highlighted the many roles involved in running a successful venue.
Students then took part in a hands‑on learning day at the Plaza Arts Center in Eatonton, where they explored theatre careers through workshops, panel discussions, and creative activities like poster design and set building. They also learned the important differences—and shared impact—of community theatres and large performance venues. The experience culminated with a Fox Theatre Shadowing Day in Atlanta, where students met with 28 professionals across departments including marketing, ticketing, culinary services, concessions, and production. Through real‑world exposure, mentorship, and behind‑the‑scenes access, the Fox Gives All‑Access Pass Program opened students’ eyes to the wide range of career possibilities in the arts and left them inspired about their futures.
