Class of 2026 Students, Families, and Friends,

We are continuing to monitor the weather for graduation tomorrow night at 8PM in the stadium. The forecasts continue to change (luckily for the better as of now), so no decisions to change anything have been made. If decisions are made, you will be notified tomorrow as early as possible. The current trend with the weather system is that it continues to slow down and will not arrive until late Friday night into Saturday morning. If you do not hear from us tomorrow, we are moving forward as planned.

Thank you! Our goal is to provide the best experience we possibly can for our students and their families to celebrate this great class of scholars.

The tassels were turned, the caps were tossed, and even the rain couldn’t dampen the spirit of the Class of 2026! Through the delay and drizzle, our graduates shined bright and reminded us all what resilience, determination, and heart truly look like. We could not be more proud of this incredible group of students and all they have accomplished. 🎓✨ *For more pictures from the Class of 2026's Graduation, please visit the District's Facebook page.

🚨Attention PCCSS family and friends attending tonight’s graduation ceremony! 🎓 Due to the potential for heavy showers around our 8:00 PM start time, we may move to a delayed start for graduation if necessary. We ask that all graduating seniors still report to the PCMS gym at 6:00 PM as scheduled. We will continue to monitor the weather closely and will keep everyone updated should there be any additional changes. Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we work to make tonight’s celebration special and safe for everyone!

A huge THANK YOU to the Georgia Association of School Business Officials (GASBO) for believing in and investing in student talent! Because of their support, one of our very own 10th grade Putnam County High School students, Camille Alvarez, was given the amazing opportunity to design this year’s conference logo.

Opportunities like this not only showcase the creativity and talent of our students but also give them real-world experience and confidence in their abilities. We are so proud to see our students’ hard work recognized on such a big stage—way to represent PCHS!

✨ PCHS’ Walk Down Memory Lane

Today was full of emotion, pride, and unforgettable moments as the Putnam County High School Class of 2026 took a special “Walk Down Memory Lane.” 🎓 Our seniors returned to the very halls where their journeys began—visiting their primary, elementary, and middle schools. What once felt big and overwhelming now felt like home again, filled with memories of how far they’ve come.

As they walked through the corridors, they were welcomed with cheers, smiles, and applause from students and teachers—creating a truly heartwarming and electric atmosphere. There were hugs, laughter, and meaningful reunions with former teachers who have been part of their story from the very beginning. And for the younger students watching, the message was clear: this WILL be you one day. 💙

*STAY TUNED....full video dropping Thursday! To view all pictures from today's Walk Down Memory Lane, please visit the District's Facebook page.

The Putnam County High School Chorus & Piano delighted friends, family, and staff during this afternoon’s Spring Piano Recital. Throughout the semester, students dedicated themselves to developing both their musical and technical skills as they prepared their selected pieces.

For many performers, this recital marked their very first experience learning piano, while others continued building on previous success. Notably, Kasia Reid and Javien Hudson proudly performed in their third recital, successfully completing their Piano Pathway.

The performance was a beautiful showcase of growth, dedication, and the power of music education. We are #PutnamProud of these students and the lasting impact the arts continue to have on all learners at Putnam County High School. To view all the performers from today, please check out the District's Facebook page.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting our annual Honor Graduate Luncheon at Putnam County High School—an important and meaningful tradition that celebrates both achievement and connection. This special event brings together our graduating honor students with Superintendent Austin and Board of Education Chairman Dr. Weiner for a shared meal and conversation.

More than just a celebration of academic excellence, this luncheon highlights the value we place on student voice. Superintendent Austin and Dr. Weiner intentionally create this space each year to listen directly to our students—hearing firsthand what made their experience in the Putnam County School System impactful and memorable, as well as where we have opportunities to grow.

These conversations are invaluable. They not only affirm the programs, educators, and experiences that have shaped our students’ success but also provide thoughtful insight that helps guide future decisions. By engaging with our honor graduates in this way, district leadership reinforces a culture of respect, reflection, and continuous improvement.

This tradition reminds us that our students are not only recipients of education, but essential partners in shaping its future—and their voices truly matter.

Yesterday was such a special day celebrating our future generation of CNA students at their pinning ceremony.

Thank you to every family member, friend, instructor, healthcare partner, and supporter who took the time to attend, encourage, and celebrate these students and all of their hard work. Your presence made the day even more meaningful.

These students have worked tirelessly to reach this milestone, and it was wonderful to see so many people surrounding them with love, pride, and support as they begin their journey in healthcare. We are incredibly proud of each of them. We would also like to extend a special thank you to Eatonton Health & Rehabilitation for their partnership with us and their encouragement for the next generation of caregivers.

Congratulations to the Putnam County High School students who have completed their CTAE Pathway! Through hard work in high-demand career fields, these students have gained valuable, hands-on skills that will serve them well in college and the workforce.

In Georgia, Pathway Completers finish a focused three-course sequence, building real-world knowledge, technical skills, and a strong sense of direction. This achievement reflects far more than coursework—it represents goal-setting, perseverance, and follow-through.

We also thank the educators, parents, and community members who supported these students along the way. To our Pathway Completers: you are leaders and innovators, and we are proud of your accomplishments and bright futures ahead!
