👉 All physicals must be completed before tryouts—no exceptions.

🎓 PCHS Final Exam Exemptions & Schedule Info 🦅
War Eagles—final exams are approaching! Here’s what students and families need to know:
✅ Final Exam Exemption Deadlines

Seniors: May 12
Grades 9–11: May 18

✅ To Qualify for Exemption (per class):
Students must be passing and meet ALL of the following for the semester:

No more than 5 absences (excluding school-sponsored events)
No more than 5 tardies
No more than 5 unexcused checkouts
No ISS/OSS assignments
No missing work or zeros in Infinite Campus

📌 Important Notes:

EOC, AP, Dual Enrollment, and End-of-Pathway exams are NOT eligible for exemption.
Exemptions are determined per class.
Students must take required exams unless officially exempted.

🗓️ Non-EOC Final Exam Schedule:

12th Grade: Friday, May 15 (1st–4th blocks)
Grades 9–11:

Wednesday, May 20 (1st & 3rd blocks)
Thursday, May 21 (2nd & 4th blocks)

What a truly special evening it was as we celebrated our talented Young Georgia Authors at a reception hosted at the Georgia Writers Museum last night. First, second, and third place winners from each grade level, kindergarten through twelfth grade, were recognized for their outstanding writing achievements. 📖

One of the most exciting moments of the night was watching our first-place winners see their writing brought to life as a book of their own—an unforgettable experience for these young authors. In addition, our SEVEN region winners were honored with trophies in recognition of their exceptional accomplishments.

Judging by the promise shown in their work, it’s not hard to imagine some of these authors appearing on future best-seller lists one day! 📚

Alyssa, Emily, Jade and Jordan earned 3rd and qualified for state also.
Wyatt placed 2nd overall and qualified for state competition.
More than a hundred War Eagles from Putnam County High School participated in the Smithsonian’s Voices and Votes exhibit today in Eatonton. Students in US History, Government, Civics, and 11th grade ELA classes encountered the story of American democracy through primary sources and interactive experiences that brought national history into local focus. Some rising seniors even registered to vote!

We cannot thank the incredible volunteers and docents from Georgia Writers Museum and the Old School History Museum enough for the time, care, and heart they poured into making this a meaningful and memorable learning experience for our future voters.

Service Leadership had the absolute joy of hosting the PCES Trailblazers for an Earth Day celebration! 🌎💚 Together, we made personal environmental resolutions, created art using recyclables the students collected, shared lunch, played games, and enjoyed popsicles in the sunshine. It was a day full of laughter, creativity, and meaningful connection. These 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students—and their incredible teachers—have become so special to our Service Leadership students. The relationships built throughout this year are ones that will truly be missed when our seniors graduate. Grateful for days like this that remind us what leadership and service are all about.

Today, our outstanding PCHS Work-Based Learning students participated in a Reverse Career Fair at The Plaza Arts Center. This engaging experience gave students the opportunity to highlight their employability skills and strengths directly to local business and industry partners.

Events like this are invaluable, offering real-world exposure and meaningful networking opportunities as students prepare for life beyond the classroom. We are incredibly proud to see our Putnam County High School students shine and confidently demonstrate their readiness for the workforce.

Yesterday the Putnam County High School boys’ and girls’ tennis teams hosted the first round of the state playoffs. Congratulations to our Boys Tennis team on an impressive 5‑0 win as they advance to the Sweet Sixteen to take on Banks County!

We also want to congratulate our Girls Tennis team on an outstanding season — we are so proud of their hard work and dedication. Go War Eagles! 🦅

The Putnam County High School GA REACH Scholars gathered for their annual Spring Luncheon today, a cherished tradition celebrating the dedication, perseverance, and achievements of these outstanding students.
