War Eagle Marching Band performs at Georgia Tech Band Day

After a long week of Homecoming celebrations, including a parade and the crowning of the new queen during the halftime show, the members of the PCHS War Eagle Marching Band gathered early Saturday morning to travel to Atlanta, and the campus of Georgia Tech. When they arrived they met with members of the Yellow Jacket Marching Band, as well as students from 11 other high schools. Together they worked on warm-up drills and stretches before taking the field for practice. The Patriotic halftime show was practiced, and then they were moved into historic Bobby Dodd stadium where the high school bands performed with the Georgia Tech band at the nationally televised game against Vanderbilt. It was a long day after a long week, but a worthwhile experience that the students will benefit from.
